With more than 25 years in manufacturing for export and logistics business, Dr. Jedsada has held permanent positions as both staff and executive in the private sector. He has extensive experience in agricultural and food production control, as well as quality management to comply with export and perishable logistics management standards.

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), administered by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is related to food standards for consumption in the United States and all nations that export food to the U.S., ensuring that products are safe for consumers.

Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian is recognized as a Lead Instructor by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA). The FSPCA is a broad-based public-private alliance of industry, academia, and government stakeholders. It was established in late 2011 through a grant from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to Illinois Tech’s Institute for Food Safety and Health (IIT IFSH). Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian is a Lead Instructor for FSPCA training courses recognized by the FDA, including FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food, FSPCA Preventive Controls for Animal Food, FSPCA Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP), and FSPCA Intentional Adulteration Vulnerability Assessments (IAVA).

Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian has been involved in operational excellence and problem-solving for complex issues in manufacturing, logistics, and international trade. He has applied industrial engineering and digital technology techniques and tools to solve operational problems while ensuring regulatory compliance.

He has been recognized as a Top Ten Lead Instructor for three consecutive years (2023, 2024, and 2025) out of more than 3,171 lead instructors globally for FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food. Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian has trained more than 1,750 participants in Preventive Controls (for human food and animal food), Qualified Individual (PCQI), Qualified Individual for FSVP, and Qualified Individual for IAVA. His trainees come from Thailand, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, India, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia. He has also been recognized as a Top Ten Lead Instructor for FSPCA Intentional Adulteration Vulnerability Assessments (IAVA) in 2024 and 2025, and for FSPCA Preventive Controls for Animal Food in 2025.

Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian is a member of the international committee for FSPCA. He regularly attends seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on regulations and guidance presented by FSPCA, U.S. FDA, USDA, CBP, and other organizations related to U.S. food import-export, and shares this knowledge with people in the Asia region.

In addition to being a Lead Instructor for FSPCA courses recognized by the FDA, Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian also serves as a consultant for the industry in areas such as FDA registration (including FFR, FCE, SID), Food Safety Plan development and review, FSVP documentation, and other activities to ensure compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

Beyond his expertise in Food Safety, Regulation, and Standards, Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian is also a Lead Instructor and Consultant for Sustainable Production Development and Productivity Improvement, including:

Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agro-Industry (Food Science & Technology), a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management. He is an outstanding training instructor for the industry, capable of integrating different knowledge foundations and multidisciplinary techniques to solve complex problems in manufacturing and logistics. He has integrated Industrial Engineering, Digital Technology, and Food Technology in food safety and productivity improvement projects in manufacturing and logistics through Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE). Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian was a member of the Board of Directors of the Thai Cooperative Education Association (2017–2018).

Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian also plays a vital role in human resource competency-based development. He served as Program Director for the Labour Productivity SMEs 4.0 Program (2020), under the Skill Development Office 19, Labour Skill Development Department. He was also a consultant for productivity improvement projects at the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry.

On June 15, 2023, the Department of Logistics Management, one of the international program faculties of the International Academy of Aviation Industry (IAAI), will present a seminar on international logistics management and trade in collaboration with Bureau Veritas Certification (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The subject of this lecture was knowledge of the laws and regulations for food exports from Thailand to the United States. Vice President for Academic Affairs of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Dr. Associate Professor Anuwat Jangwanitlert presided over the opening of the seminar, and Kathleen (Katie Jo) Close of the US FDA and Dr. Jedsada Tipmontian served as a speaker for the discussion.
